Gone fishing
Gone fishing

Well, not really fishing. I’ll be gone alright—off to New York today to attend TECHmunch, and I’ll probably end up hiding in a dark corner battling first-day-of-school flashbacks. But it’ll be such a rare day for me away from work that it’ll feel like fishing.

Except, without the awesome seascape and saltwater spray.

Night shots
Night shots

My latest Pioneer Woman photography post is up now, and if you’ve been holding back from shooting at night, maybe I can encourage you to give it a try.

Toco

The quintessential coconut tree silhouetted against dusky skies. Not Maui this time – this is Toco in Trinidad & Tobago, taken in the summer of 2007.

Shot with a Canon Powershot A40.

More of home

See the giant “hut” on the right side? (Not me, silly. The actual hut.) Those aren’t picnic tables. Those are massage tables.
Yes, MASSAGE tables. Where you can get a two-hour full-body massage by the beach for the equivalent of, oh, maybe around five US dollars. That’s less than a fast food value meal. And oh so much better for your [...]
