Moonlit shore

Those are not weird Photoshop colors you see. The sky really was that shade of purple above and blue below, which reflected nicely onto the water.

I keep looking at this waiting for the moon to speak and the ocean to answer

    Shrewbie, what a beautiful comment.

Thanks, everyone! I, too, was mesmerized by the purple sky.

This is lovely! This must have been taken in that “sweet spot” of the evening right before sunset that I keep hearing about lately!

This was taken in that corresponding “sweet spot” of the evening right after sunset. You wait for the sun to go down, then wait some more even though it looks like you should be putting your camera away already. Then, if you are patient, you will have a few minutes of this beautiful light and amazing color to shoot.

Of course, the full moon had a lot to do with this shot, too. :)

about me

I write, cook, play music, and make pictures. Not necessarily in that order. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and it shows. That means I eat rice with every meal, love my cousins like my own siblings, and firmly believe that avocados are best eaten with cream and sugar.

If you want to learn more about me, here are 43 things I'd like to do. Here's a little something about my name, in case you were wondering. Here are some other places you'll find me:
