Old building

Except, those a/c units kinda make it hard to imagine this was from centuries ago.

The venetian blinds don’t help, either.

What a gorgeous old building! I can’t believe people would actually deface the exterior with their interior crap. On second thought, if I were hot, and the only way to cool my apartment was to add a window unit, I may be compelled to do the same (read: post-menopausal) But the venetian blinds! Surely there is a better window covering than that!

Love that “pewter” color. Is this from a camera setting? I need to be braver and take b & w or sepia pictures right from my camera. Sure do look forward to seeing more of your pictures.

Hi, everyone! Welcome to the new visitors.

Ricki, I hear ya. Not only am I not a fan of the look of venetian blinds, but I am even less of a fan of cleaning them. Ugh!

Patriot Girl and Kanniduba, I shot that in color then converted it to tritone (sorta kinda sepia-ish) in Photoshop.

about me

I write, cook, play music, and make pictures. Not necessarily in that order. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and it shows. That means I eat rice with every meal, love my cousins like my own siblings, and firmly believe that avocados are best eaten with cream and sugar.

If you want to learn more about me, here are 43 things I'd like to do. Here's a little something about my name, in case you were wondering. Here are some other places you'll find me:
