One year later

A year and four days ago, I took my very first pictures with my now one-year-old camera.

And although I still want a DSLR, I’m also still very much in like with my Canon S5.

It’s not just that I’m indecisive (I am). I’m also stubbornly loyal (emphasis on the stubborn part).

Now, if only I can find my macro conversion lens.

Sigh. I really miss that other baby of mine.

Love the color and sharpness in shot #2.

Thanks, Karma! That was taken pre-macro conversion lens. I was using an old prime lens that I reversed onto my S5 lens. Incredibly shallow depth of field, but it sometimes makes for interesting effects.

Hi! I came over from Ree’s. (I bet your stats are going to spike today, haha.) These pictures are wonderful – the focus especially is spot-on! Definitely proof that it’s not all about having the fanciest camera. =)

Hey Ash! Good to see you here. Yep, I’ve seen lots of great work by others without DSLRs, which in turn inspires me to get the most out of my S5. Although, some nights, I still dream of the 5D II. :)

about me

I write, cook, play music, and make pictures. Not necessarily in that order. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and it shows. That means I eat rice with every meal, love my cousins like my own siblings, and firmly believe that avocados are best eaten with cream and sugar.

If you want to learn more about me, here are 43 things I'd like to do. Here's a little something about my name, in case you were wondering. Here are some other places you'll find me:
