Maybe if you stopped munching on my plants and baby fruit trees, I’ll open the gate.

Maybe.

    How CUTE!!

Hmm… I just realized that I switched my blog to the same theme. One of only TWO that I liked (other than my old one)
I love your header!! Is it bamboo?

Daily, I only like two or three themes too. The rest either crop the photos or just don’t look right to me.

Yes, the header is bamboo. From my backyard. Which we are now trying to get rid of because it’s taking over everything.

Nice detail on the rabbit. I’m assuming you had to zoom to get this shot since they usually don’t sit still for a close-up, so I’m really impressed by the detail in the rabbit’s fur.

I just want to snuggle that bunny! Too bad they don’t like to be snuggled.

Karma, yes, I had to zoom in for this. I also sharpened the photo a bit, but blurred the grass slightly. The original photo had the grass just as sharp, and it was really distracting.

Jen, feel free to snuggle the bunny and take it home. Please. It’s been eating up the garden.

Very cute…but I know how frustrating it is to fend off the little fiends in a garden! Glad to see you posting again!

Thanks, KD! Yeah, next year, the mission will be to ward off the squirrels and rabbits. If you have any ideas, I’m all ears.

I have a suggestion that has worked well for me. My veggie garden is fenced, although it is far from impenetrable (sp?) by the little critters, but I plant hot peppers around the inside of the fence and marigolds around the outside of the fence. The smell of the marigolds and the smell and taste of the hot peppers seems to keep a lot of critters away.

Karma, I love that suggestion. Plus, we really do like planting lots of hot peppers in the spring and summer. And I always have marigolds somewhere in the garden, so I think I just may try your solution next year. Thanks!

about me

I write, cook, play music, and make pictures. Not necessarily in that order. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and it shows. That means I eat rice with every meal, love my cousins like my own siblings, and firmly believe that avocados are best eaten with cream and sugar.

If you want to learn more about me, here are 43 things I'd like to do. Here's a little something about my name, in case you were wondering. Here are some other places you'll find me:
