I've been gone how long?!

Oh my. When I said I might be delinquent, I didn’t think it would be a three-week stretch. If this blog were school, I’d need a note from the doctor to be allowed back.

In lieu of a medical letter, will you take a few California sunset photos instead?

I just love how orange-red their skies get early in the evening.

Here’s a shot that almost never happened. I’ll tell you more about it later.

If these sunset shots don’t do it for you, then let me know where you want me to send my doctor’s note. Because I do have a legitimate medical excuse. But I was hoping to save it for another day when I don’t have pretty pictures to use as a bribe.

Sudden Onset Laziness Forgetfulness is a valid illness, yes?

Wow, these are absolutely gorgeous!!! And one more thing to look forward to when we go to CA in June! Where in CA were you? We’ll be in Anaheim first (Disneyland of course!) and then heading up the coast to San Francisco. We’re also planning on seeing a State/National Park or two inland before heading back home. I can’t wait!!!!

And btw. SO glad to see you back! I missed your posts! :-)

Daily, those shots were from around the Riverside area. I also spent some time in Reseda. Will you be driving up to San Franscisco? Man, that PCH trek is one of my favorites. I’d go wild with my camera. Monterey will always be a special place to me, and if you’re in the area, do the 17-mile drive. It’s breathtaking.

Haven’t been to a State or National Park in ages. Can I come join you? :)

    Good to be back too.

I’ll have to get out the map and see where those places are. Yes, we’ll be driving the whole way from TX.
Sure, come join us, but I have to warn you…. we’re taking the shoebox (aka Greg’s car) and things are a little tight in there! LOL

Glad you’re back, Hut! Missed your posts. I love that last shot of the sun just about to sink below the horizon.
I’m sure you must have had no problem at all taking at least one photo a day in CA. I haven’t been to CA in many years, but when I think back on it now it is like a photographer’s paradise.

KD, thanks! Daily, much as I enjoy road trips, half the time, I talk the talk but can’t really walk ride the ride. All due to this nasty little thing called motion sickness.

But yeah, if you’re driving up to SFO from Anaheim, then driving up the Pacific Coast Highway is the way to go. Gorgeous views all around.

Karma, there’s a story behind that last photo. I’ll be telling it soon. Yes, CA is a dream for photographers. Wide open vistas and interesting plants and trees. Here in NJ, we get lovely vistas too, but more than half the time, it’s ruined by power lines and street posts.

about me

I write, cook, play music, and make pictures. Not necessarily in that order. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and it shows. That means I eat rice with every meal, love my cousins like my own siblings, and firmly believe that avocados are best eaten with cream and sugar.

If you want to learn more about me, here are 43 things I'd like to do. Here's a little something about my name, in case you were wondering. Here are some other places you'll find me:
