If I were Superman …

I wouldn’t have to worry about human illnesses. I’d have super organs that don’t go haywire on me, and I could zoom back and forth from doctor’s offices faster than Simon Cowell can backtrack from comments that are 12 million votes removed from reality. Not that I’d need to anyway.

Hummingbird, three ways

The virtue of patience

A small hummingbird’s wings can flap up to 80 times per second, and they have the unique ability to fly in any direction – even backwards.
This usually means that by the time I frame my shot and focus properly, the little sucker has already moved, leaving me to fumble with my camera trying to re-frame and re-focus.
