Time to make you cry again

Those Brits.

More shots from a moving vehicle

Not to worry, I wasn’t driving.

Look at that broad open road runway.

Sigh. If only public roads were this smooth and wide.

One of my favorite trees

And I’m not the least bit allergic to it either.

I just can’t stop laughing

Someone help me please.

If I were Superman …

I wouldn’t have to worry about human illnesses. I’d have super organs that don’t go haywire on me, and I could zoom back and forth from doctor’s offices faster than Simon Cowell can backtrack from comments that are 12 million votes removed from reality. Not that I’d need to anyway.

And I could have this view of Central Park any time I felt like it.

I’d have x-ray vision too, so make sure you’re not wearing underwear that’s ready to walk away on its own. You know, in case you get into an accident and I have to come rescue you or something.

On second thought, maybe being Superman isn’t all it’s cut out to be.

about me

I write, cook, play music, and make pictures. Not necessarily in that order. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and it shows. That means I eat rice with every meal, love my cousins like my own siblings, and firmly believe that avocados are best eaten with cream and sugar.

If you want to learn more about me, here are 43 things I'd like to do. Here's a little something about my name, in case you were wondering. Here are some other places you'll find me:

LOST AND FOUND

One summer night in 2010, our house burned to the ground and we lost everything we had. This is the story of what happened and how life and hope can always rise from ashes.

I'm proud to belong to an amazing community of Filipino food lovers. Together, we celebrate this often-neglected Asian cuisine, sharing our family's treasured recipes and discovering new ones along the way. This is our club.
