Ten lashes for slacking off

Except, I wasn’t really slacking off. Really. I’ve been doing stuff. Lots of stuff.

Honest.

But I did still find time to shoot my daily photos.

I photographed food in my kitchen:

And some trees outside:

One afternoon, after finding myself uncharacteristically fatigued (and I mean f-a-t-i-g-u-e-d, as in I could barely walk and every ounce of my being was screaming bloody murder), I even managed to somehow find enough energy to pick up my camera and shoot whatever I could spot from my comfy seat out in the deck.

And yes, I even took a dirty picture. Please avert your eyes.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

WOW, the picture of the strawberry is amazing!!! Love all the detail you get with your little macro gadget! (I keep forgetting the name, so I’ll just call it macro gadget. LOL)
    Nice to see you back!

    EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! The dreaded FAFSA!!!

Have you ever had to fill out the PROFILE? It is administered by the College Board and is even more intrusive than FAFSA.

Truly, hut, the strawberry shot is stunning. The detail is fabulous.

Missed you, hut! Glad you’re back. Are you back from CA or have you not left yet?
Can’t help but chime in on the strawberry too – just gorgeous.
FAFSA is still some years away for this family, but I have heard horror stories.

Hey all! I don’t leave for California until early morning Friday, but I’ve been swamped with stuff to get done before leaving. One of them being that dreaded FAFSA thing, which I have to make sure is filed before I go. Jen, I never had to fill out the PROFILE. Good grief, I hope they don’t make me do that.

Michaela, macro gadget works just fine for me. Many times, even I forget what it’s called. :)

about me

I write, cook, play music, and make pictures. Not necessarily in that order. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and it shows. That means I eat rice with every meal, love my cousins like my own siblings, and firmly believe that avocados are best eaten with cream and sugar.

If you want to learn more about me, here are 43 things I'd like to do. Here's a little something about my name, in case you were wondering. Here are some other places you'll find me:

LOST AND FOUND

One summer night in 2010, our house burned to the ground and we lost everything we had. This is the story of what happened and how life and hope can always rise from ashes.

I'm proud to belong to an amazing community of Filipino food lovers. Together, we celebrate this often-neglected Asian cuisine, sharing our family's treasured recipes and discovering new ones along the way. This is our club.
