My new Project 365 rule

Unable to admit that I’ve missed two days so close to each other, I am hereby inventing a rule that if you attend a wedding or any function and end up taking more than 100 photos, then posting three photos from said function can count for three days of Project 365 photos.

The motion to implement the rule was passed with a majority vote of one.

By the way, these are for Days 88 through 90, also known as March 28 through 30. In case you were wondering about the count.

Ah, interesting rule! I’ll have to keep that in mind, though I doubt I’ll have any 100-photo events in my near future!

I love the one of the resting flower girl. I will have to send you one of my favorite shots from my sister’s wedding (almost 6 years ago now) of a certain tired little flower girl that I know very well.

The beauty of digital photography is that I can shoot 100 shots and not wonder about how in the world I’ll be paying for the processing and prints. Of course, some may argue that it makes for sloppier photography because we think we have the safety of just throwing the pixels away or fixing stuff in Photoshop. But I say that we negate that by becoming bolder and more adventurous with the shots we take, and discover new ways of seeing and framing and composing.

Yeah, that’s my take on it.

Do send that photo over. I’d love to see this little flower girl that you know very well. I have a feeling I know of her too, and may have post-processed a photo or two with her in it.

Uh … unless the flower girl is you. :D

about me

I write, cook, play music, and make pictures. Not necessarily in that order. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and it shows. That means I eat rice with every meal, love my cousins like my own siblings, and firmly believe that avocados are best eaten with cream and sugar.

If you want to learn more about me, here are 43 things I'd like to do. Here's a little something about my name, in case you were wondering. Here are some other places you'll find me:

LOST AND FOUND

One summer night in 2010, our house burned to the ground and we lost everything we had. This is the story of what happened and how life and hope can always rise from ashes.

I'm proud to belong to an amazing community of Filipino food lovers. Together, we celebrate this often-neglected Asian cuisine, sharing our family's treasured recipes and discovering new ones along the way. This is our club.
