Here’s another one, from the finals this time. Such a sweet young voice. If I were there, I just may cry too.

And when she smiles, I just want to take her home with me.

She reminds me why I’ve always wanted a little girl of my own.

I didn’t expect that! Simon looked like he was trying to contain his disdain for all things cutesy during her performance. Then he was actually nice.

She was adorable. The two missing teeth just sealed the deal :)

Yeah, I think he was fairly sure it would be horrible when she came out, seeing how young she was.

She really was so adorable. Such a cute smile!

With tear stained cheeks, I ask…DID SHE WIN?

I haven’t been able to find out if she won, but I found her website and it made me sad…

She’s six years old and has albums and appearances and is selling things. They’re creating an industry around a little girl. She’ll probably have lots of money, but at the expense of her childhood. The world revolves around fame and money :(

Brc, I hear you. That’s why I didn’t even want to look at her site. What endeared her to me was her sweet innocence, and with that voice, she just evoked such … purity. I hate to see something like that being exploited.

Shrew, she didn’t win. A young tenor (I think he was a tenor) won.

Oh brc…do you think the young Miss Talbot is on the Britney road?

Maybe it was good she didn’t win

  7. [...] spare tissues, because now I’m going to show you last year’s winner. It wasn’t Connie Talbot, who was the favorite to win and was told that “it’s going to take something incredibly [...]

about me

I write, cook, play music, and make pictures. Not necessarily in that order. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and it shows. That means I eat rice with every meal, love my cousins like my own siblings, and firmly believe that avocados are best eaten with cream and sugar.

If you want to learn more about me, here are 43 things I'd like to do. Here's a little something about my name, in case you were wondering. Here are some other places you'll find me:
