This is an actual photo I took last night.

Pretty circles, eh?

Not one to leave well enough alone, I started playing around with it.

This is me playing with Photoshop.

I really need to get out more.

P.S. I may or may not continue inflicting random photos like this on you. If I start giving you a massive headache or make you want to never ever see anything that looks like gift wrapping paper ever again, you can thank George (a.k.a. Photophool of Flickr fame) for that. See, when I grow up, I want to be just like George.

Looks like something they would have worn on “Laugh-in”! What is it actually a picture of? Champagne? Gingerale? Beer?

Those are the bubbles that formed on the inside of a plastic lid. I put some still-warm rice away in a container and left it on the counter because I’m forgetful like that and plus, I was distracted by the cookies on the table. That photo was taken with my camera (with flash!) up against the plastic lid.

Kinda looks like gift wrapping paper, doesn’t it?

That is awesome…Are you going to superimpose scenery into the bubbles?

Shrew, I was indeed thinking of doing just that. But I want to figure out first how to make the scenery kinda bulge, so that it will look like an actual reflection on the bubble surface.

Sigh. So much Photoshopping to do, so little time.

about me

I write, cook, play music, and make pictures. Not necessarily in that order. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and it shows. That means I eat rice with every meal, love my cousins like my own siblings, and firmly believe that avocados are best eaten with cream and sugar.

If you want to learn more about me, here are 43 things I'd like to do. Here's a little something about my name, in case you were wondering. Here are some other places you'll find me:

LOST AND FOUND

One summer night in 2010, our house burned to the ground and we lost everything we had. This is the story of what happened and how life and hope can always rise from ashes.

I'm proud to belong to an amazing community of Filipino food lovers. Together, we celebrate this often-neglected Asian cuisine, sharing our family's treasured recipes and discovering new ones along the way. This is our club.
