The other day, I saw this post on Shrewie’s site that mentioned the NYIP Photo Contest. And I thought, hey, I want to join too. (Of course, I voted for her entry first. She’s a great photographer.)
So I entered the “Faces In the Crowd” category with the photo below. That’s my husband’s aunt standing in her second floor balcony (they refer to it as a gallery). Those are green mangoes in the foreground, hanging from a tree in her yard.
If you love me, please vote for me. (Yes, mom, that means you too.)
(Oh, and while you’re at it, vote for Shrew too. Such a makes-you-warm-all-over photo.)

To thank you for indulging me, here’s a little photo-viewing music from Shawn Colvin. Which made me wonder: do people still use those instant Polaroid cameras these days? Or will the next generation stare blankly when we talk about waving Polaroid film in the air to get it to dry faster?

Just flew by from Ree’s place…great photo. I voted for it.
Hey! Thanks!
I never thought de-lurking would be so much fun.
Speaking of Ree’s place, you got an honorable mention on the photo contest! Congrats!
Hi karmardav! Thanks, I guess I came out of the woodwork at the right time. But I really did dream last night that “Cowabunga” won.
Is that a bad sign? That even in my dreams, I’m surfing online?
Hey Ivoryhut. You went into hiding for awhile and I had stopped checking your blog. I’m going to have to catch up… it looks like you have posted some awesome photos in the past month.
Hey there! Yes, I’d been delinquent updating this blog the past months. Hopefully, I’ll be more on the ball from now on. If not, feel free to send me a good whack on the head via email. :)
