Here are a few more photos from Trinidad. I took more pictures, but I’ll spread them out a bit. Maybe that way, I’ll appear more prolific. (Um … pretend I didn’t say that.)
It took me a while to realize that when they said “green fig,” this is what they meant.
The lighthouse in Toco, which was unfortunately off limits. I can only imagine the view from the top, because in this northeastern tip of Trinidad, you can actually see where the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meet. Pretty wild.
We visited a lady who was an orchid expert. One section had all these aerial orchids with their roots forming a suspended jungle. I never saw so many of them in one place outside of an orchid show.
Some dude at Maracas beach. It was a good thing I took his picture then, because once I bit into the local specialty “bake and shark” with every imaginable topping available, I temporarily forgot how to handle small electronics. Come to think of it, I can still barely work the coffeemaker.
Come back for more! I promise, it won’t be a month-long wait. Really.
